Final Project; I Found Peace

Each part of this peace sign is a picture of a bank located on the line. Each time I would go and sit on the rivers edge I would take a few pictures to capture the serenity that I experienced. No one would bother me or interrupt me. I truly think that the banks of the line were my favorite part of the line, and I felt this was the best way to capture how I felt at the specific moment I took the picture.

I decided to not necessarily plug my ears but listen to classical music while I travelled along the line. It gave it a more serene feel as I walked in the cold. After a while, I didn’t notice the cold and I was just walking without a purpose. The music filled my ears and I was oblivious to what was surrounding me, I was just focused on walking the line. The violin and the clarinet took me over and turned the line into a straight music staff and I was the creating the notes upon it. It was a really cool experience. My legs are sore now though.

PEOPLE WATCHING!

For this exploration, I sat on a bench located on the line and I creeped hardcore and documented a few things about the people that passed by me.

Leaves

Some are crinkly while others are still fresh. Colors include green, brown, orange, and faint reds. Some are large with many points while one is small and rounded. Some are eaten away, beginning their process of decomposition. Only one retains a perfect shape, no rips, tears, or discoloration. Although they’re all from different trees, they all have one similarity, they’re leaves. They all serve the same purpose and ended up in the same place; on the line where I picked them up and brought them home :)

My smelly trip through town…..all quarter mile of it.

Mmmmm sesame chicken, my favorite. Panda

I smell breakfast coming out of the Jet

The parking lot of Uni-Mart smells like gasoline, ew.

Walking by the door of Fox’s I got a good whiff of chicken wings.

Some type of sandwich smell? Coming from the Terra Cotta smells like.

I’v never been able to describe what it smells like but the smell of wet pavement from all this gosh darn rain.

Alternate #2

What activities to combine? Texting and walking.

Texting and walking is surprisingly dangerous. I have personally walked into a full on ditch because I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going. It’s funny how it totally takes our focus off of something we do all the time, we walk everywhere. You’d think it’d be the other way around. You should be able to walk fine but not be able to text. Yet its opposite. Everybody texts so this is becoming a very large trend. You see people walking weirdly and wonder why can’t they walk straight? Chances are they’re texting their grandma or something. It’s, for the most part, a negative relationship. Texting while walking should save time, it’s multitasking, but in reality it just confuses our brain and we fall in a ditch.
